June 18-22nd I accompanied my good friend Valerie to a business trip to Colorado Springs. It was a lovely little trip. We stayed at The Broadmoor resort and got to do all sorts of fun things like swimming, water slides, getting facials, sitting in the sauna and the steam room, relaxing, eating. We also got to see some of the sites such as the Garden of the Gods, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, and we hit up downtown Colorado Springs and made our way to a secret, hidden martini & cigar bar 15C.
I had fun. I didn’t take as many pictures as I had liked too but I did manage to get a ton of the animals at the zoo and a few from the railway to Pikes Peak. I drank a bit too much the night before and ended up too dehydrated and suffering from altitude sickness. Basically I felt like I was going to either throw up or pass out from the lack of oxygen up there but managed to keep somewhat composed until the decent off the mountain where I promptly passed out/fell asleep I’m not sure which exactly happened.
Keywords from the trip:
I did a lot of stuff this weekend.
Now I’m exhausted.
Vacation time starts on Wednesday.
It’s summer time in the city. Of course for San Franciscan’s summer time can strike whenever the temperature nears 70 or dares to go over. Today is a prime day with a temperature around 80° F. Gorgeous is what you call that. Our jackets and sweaters are shed, we choose outdoor seating for lunch and dinner, and flock to the closest park or beach and enjoy the weather for all that it is worth.
It’s also proven to be a very busy time for myself. I have so many things that I’m involved in now, it’s great! I love having too many things to choose from than not enough. At times it can be stressfull and tiring but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Seriously a tattoo of Rush?! What next, a “mommafried” tattoo?
Do you really want to wake in a sea of heshers wondering what happened to your bra again? On a side note, the 90’s gave us some pretty awesome memories.
